A HORA DO METAL: Treat

Treat é uma banda de Hard Rock formada em 1983 na cidade de Estocolmo Suécia, é considerada uma das principais bandas do pais.

A formação original era composta Robert Emlund (vocais), Anders Gary Wilkstrom (guitarra), Leif "Lillen" Liljegren (bateria) e Tomas Lind (baixo). Seu primeiro disco sai em 1985 Scratch And Bite esse disco foi um sucesso e ajudou a banda a se popularizar.

Na medida que a banda ganhava fama foi lançado em 1986 The Pleasure Principle que só não fez mais sucesso pelo fato de no mesmo ano ser lançado a obra prima do Europe The Final Countdown,

Apesar do do seu posto ser tomado e digamos merecidamente pelo Europe a banda não desanimou e lançou em 1987 o álbum Dreamhunter porem o The Final Countdown ainda era sucesso nas parada suecas fato que fez a banda ir a procura de novos ares então eles se mudam para Alemanha.

Organized Crime que sai em 1989 contou com o tecladista Patrick Appelgren, o disco não vendeu o esperado, e abanda não conseguiu fazer muitos show oque levou o grupo a entrar em decadência.

Apos a saída de todos os membros exceto o guitarrista Anders Gary Wilkstrom a banda se reformula e lança seu quinto disco auto - intitulado porem mais uma vez o disco não vendeu o esperado e a banda acaba se dissolvendo os membros partiram para outros projetos.

A volta da banda acontece em 2005 com Robert Emlund de volta ao vocal e Anders Gary Wilkstrom na guitarra Jamie Borger na bateria e o baixista Nalle Páhlsson. Em 2006 lançam a coletânea Weapons Of Choice.

Mas em 2010 com o ótimo Coup De Grace a banda mostra o por que do seu retorno, com canções que fazem a banda entrar mais uma vez no topo do Hard Rock agradando os velhos fãs e recrutando novos.
